I am constantly harping on doing backups before making changes to your WordPress site like adding new plugins or updating to new versions.
It is a good thing I practice what I preach since after I updated to 5.9 with one of my sites and activated the new default Twenty-Twenty Two theme, there were .
At the time of me writing this, Block-Based themes like twenty-twenty two, do not play nice with Elementor. Elementor did just release version 3.6 so that might have addressed my issue.
That may also be true of other page builders but regardless, since I had a fresh backup, it took less than 2 minutes for my site to be back.
So there are two lessons here.
One - do backups. Two - go ahead and update to 5.9 no matter if you use Elementor, Gutenberg or some other page builder, just leave your current theme as the active one.
You can review my What's New in WP 5.9 mini-series for all the details of the new block-based themes, navigation block and all the full site editor goodness that comes with 5.9.
Active members of PLR4WP with access to volumes 1 or 14 have this mini-series in the members area now so go get it.
If you are not a current member or have let your subscription expire and still want the PLR version of this What's New In WP 5.9 mini-series then check out the details here:

WordPress version 5.9 was a pretty big deal. I have never recorded 40 plus minutes of content for just a 'What's New' set - until now.
